Formed in 1996, New Pants is arguably
the most influential rock band in China today.
Their first album "New Pants" was recently
listed second in the “Top Ten 90’s
Albums” list compiled by the prestigious
Hong Kong magazine “MCB”. Their second
album, “Disco Girl”, garnered them
“Best Music Video” and “Best
Rock Single of the Year” awards for the
song “I Love You” at the Channel V/
Pepsi Music Awards in China. Not to be outdone,
New Pants’ third album brought home the
“Best Video” award from the 2003 MTV
Asia Awards. "Dragon Tiger Panacea”,
their latest, has received waves of positive reviews
from the likes of Rolling Stone China and MCB,
recently fueling a New Pants tour of clubs and
stadiums throughout China.

2003: “We Are Automatic” helps bring
home the “Best Band Of The Year” award
at the CCTV-MTV Awards of 2003
2005: Single “Bye Bye Disco” is included
on “Modern Sky 5” complication album
